Designed for strength, height, and serious functionality, this 30′ x 44′ Attic Truss Series garage was custom built on site in Wellfleet, MA (02667) to support both large equipment storage and flexible interior use. With tall wall heights, commercial-style doors, and dedicated interior rooms, this structure is built to perform in a demanding coastal environment.
The garage is constructed on the homeowner’s concrete pad with a 12″ stem wall, featuring 2×6 exterior walls standing an impressive 14 feet high with studs 16″ on center. Wall and roof assemblies are reinforced with 7/16″ plywood wall sheathing and 9/16″ plywood roof sheathing, creating a robust building envelope designed for longevity and load performance.
A standout feature of this build is the roof system. The 10-pitch roof incorporates 34′ scissor trusses for added interior volume, along with 10′ attic trusses spaced 24″ on center, creating a dedicated 16×10 attic room. Access to the upper level is provided by an L-shaped staircase with handrail, making the attic space both usable and convenient.
The exterior is finished with standard-color vinyl siding, installed to start a maximum of 6 inches down from the top of the concrete, paired with house wrap, white vented soffits, and 12″ overhangs on all sides. Roofing protection includes GAF Timberline shingles, a first-row ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, and a rapid ridge vent to ensure proper ventilation and weather resistance.
Built for oversized access and daily use, the garage includes two 10’x14′ insulated commercial garage doors, paired with an 8500 LiftMaster jackshaft garage door operator. Inside, two framed 10×10 rooms (interior studs and door openings only) provide flexible space for storage, mechanical use, or future build-out. Natural light enters through multiple insulated windows, while ProVia fiberglass entry doors offer durable and secure access.
Completed with architectural drawings and an engineer’s seal, this Wellfleet garage reflects New England Outdoor’s ability to deliver complex, high-performance custom structures—built to last and designed around the client’s exact needs.
