I’ve never purchased a shed before. How do I get started?

Stop by our showroom! We can show you some of our models and help you figure out exactly what shed size and style are right for you. Get directions.

Where should I put my new shed?

Your shed site should be fairly level, firm and free of overhead obstructions like low-hanging tree branches. If you need help choosing or preparing the site, we can help. See our Services page for more details.

What do I have to do to prepare the site?

Nothing, as long as the site is fairly level and clear of debris. We’ll take care of everything else.

Do I need a permit?

Some towns require them, others don’t. We recommend that you check with your local code enforcement officer (you can usually find out who this is on your town hall website) to be sure. If you need assistance with this process, give us a call — we’re happy to help.

What is I want to use my shed for something other than storage? Like a guest house or studio?

You wouldn’t be the first. More and more, our customers are using our sheds for unconventional and creative purposes. We can customize your shed to accommodate whatever use you have in mind. We have a new line of completely finished sheds called My Shed Room! Check them out here!

Can you build a custom shed for me?

Absolutely! We love doing custom orders. You can even design your own shed using our online tool.

What size shed should I get?

The size of your shed will depend on your available lawn space and what you plan to use it for. We can help you figure it out.

Will I have to pay sales tax on my shed?

Yes, unless you live in New Hampshire (where there is no state sales tax).

Can I get the same shed as Tom Brady?

Sure. Although be warned that he chose one of our larger models (probably to store his growing collection of Super Bowl rings).

Shed Installation

Will installation damage my landscaping?
How long will the installation take?
Do you install year round?
What if I want to move the shed later?
Will installation damage my landscaping?

We only require a 3′ gate to access the area. As long as our crew can unload the shed within 100 feet of the site, the only marks we might leave behind are a few footprints. This is because we unload and assemble each section manually, eliminating the need to drive vehicles or machinery over your yard.

How long will the installation take?

On average, two to three hours.

Do you install year round?

Yes — a little snow doesn’t bother us.

What if I want to move the shed later?

We offer a relocation service! See our Services page for more details.
